News Advisory – DELEG to Present Builders with Federal Energy Star Home Grants On Wednesday, April 1 in East Lansing

April 01, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth Deputy Director Liesl Eichler Clark will present Energy Star Home Grants of $5,000 to five builders from across the state at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1 at Urban Options in East Lansing.

Michigan builders compete for the U.S. Department of Energy grants based on energy efficiency, marketing plans and innovations. Grant recipients include:

  • Gontina Building & Design, Clawson
  • Heartland Builders, Rockford
  • MJC Builders of Troy, Macomb
  • Phil Johnson Construction, Twin Lake
  • Tri-Cities Area Habitat for Humanity/Charles Rycenga, Grand Haven

Directions from the East: 96 West to exit 110, rt. on Okemos Rd, approx. 3 miles to Grand River, left on Grand River, 2-3 miles to MAC, right on MAC, 1st left on Albert, 1st right on Grove. Park in Grove St. Ramp, 2nd house on left (405 Grove).

Directions from the West: 96 East to I-69 North to 127 South, exit on Saginaw Hwy., left on Saginaw (2nd light), 2 blocks to split (stay to right) Saginaw turns into Grand River, left on MAC, first left on Albert, first right on Grove. Park in Grove St. Ramp, 2nd house on left (405 Grove).
