MSU Extension offers “Home Ownership” Workshop and Online Home Ownership Education

February 20, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — Invest in your homeownership success. Research has shown that people who attend pre-purchase housing counseling or education are more likely to make on-time payments on their mortgage and are less likely to default on their loans.

MSU Extension is offering a free 3-part workshop on Home Ownership on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on March 6, 13, and 20, 2012 at the VerKuilen Building, Entrance E, 21885 Dunham Road, Clinton Township.

Home Ownership will focus on consumer protection during the home buying process. Learn to:

• Effectively select and finance a home,
• Hire the right real estate agent, lawyer, home inspector and lender, and
