Snyder makes appointment to Board of Real Estate Appraisers

LANSING, Mich. – January 27, 2014 – (RealEstateRama) — Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Robin Wybenga, of Traverse City, to the Michigan Board of Real Estate Appraisers.

Created in 1991 and housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the nine-member board licenses and regulates the service of more than 6,000 real estate appraisers.

“I thank Robin for her willingness to serve on this important commission,” Snyder said.

Wybenga is the CFO of TBA Credit Union in Traverse City. She previously served as a league representative for the Michigan Credit Union League, CEO of Mid-Michigan Family Credit Union, Dean of Campus Services for Davenport University, loan manager for Clinton County Federal Credit Union, and CEO for Tri-Cities Credit Union. Wybenga has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Davenport University and an MBA from Central Michigan University. She will represent the general public and fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Lisa Burroughs.

Wybenga will serve the remainder of a four-year term expiring June 30, 2016, and her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the state Senate.
