MSHDA Investing $2.5 Million in Blight Removal in Five Michigan Counties

The Community Development Division (CDD) of the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) has announced six recipients will receive Neighborhood Stabilization Program 2 (NSP2) funding income. The $2.55 million awarded in the first funding round will help financeblight demolition and senior housing projects in Berrien, Calhoun, Genesee, Ingham and Kalamazoo counties.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - July 14, 2014 - (RealEstateRama) -- Granger Construction Company, the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA), the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA), the Greater Detroit Building Trades Council, and the Partnering Contractors signed a formal partnership today to protect workers during the renovation of the 1956 mechanical engineering laboratory – classroom building, located on U-M’s North Campus in Ann Arbor. The facility will receive approximately 141,000 square feet of major infrastructure, programmatic instructional and administrative space improvements.
