Bishop Supports Continued Highway and Transportation Funding

-

WASHINGTON, D.C. – May 20, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — In response to the House passage of H.R. 2353, the Highway and Transportation Funding Act of 2015, Congressman Mike Bishop (MI-08) issued the following statement:

“While a short-term fix is never ideal, Congress had to act to ensure ongoing infrastructure projects can continue. For the next two months, while federal funding remains solvent, members of the House and Senate must work diligently to create a sustainable plan that guides the states in their long-term management of local roads and bridges. As the people of Michigan know all too well, our infrastructure is in dire need of repair – and allowing federal authorization of these funds to lapse would be irresponsible.”
