Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointments to Board of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons

LANSING, Mich. – July 16, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointments of Matthew Davis, of Marshall, and James Lance, of Battle Creek, to the Michigan Board of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons.

The nine-member board, housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, oversees the licensure and practice of real estate brokers and salespersons in Michigan.

“Matthew and James bring great experience to the board and I thank them for their willingness to continue serving,” Snyder said.

Davis is an associate broker with Rosemary Davis REALTORS, where he has been employed for more than 15 years. He is a trustee of Kellogg Community College and a member of the Kellogg Community College Foundation Board of Directors. Davis earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and sport organization from Miami University and a secondary education certificate from North Carolina Central University. He continues to represent professionals.

Lance is an attorney with Kreis, Enderle, Hudgins, & Boros, PC. He served as a special assistant and clerk to former Chief Justice Clifford Taylor and a communications specialist for Gov. Engler. Lance earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology, a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and a law degree, all from Michigan State University. He continues to represent the general public.

Members serve four-year terms expiring June 30, 2019. The appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate
