The LWCF was founded 50 years ago and has preserved public lands and natural resources in nearly every county in the country. Dingell has been a leader in calling for Congress to permanently reauthorize the LWCF.

The Charrette process, identified as “Envision 8th”, is an opportunity for residents and the City to establish a vision, and ultimately, design solutions for Eighth Street, as well as surrounding land uses. The design for Eighth Street will be approached through several methods including transportation planning and engineering, streetscape design and developing regulations for building types and land uses along the street

As requested from the Flint community, Gov. Rick Snyder today spent time visiting a home that has recently tested high for lead levels through the state’s sentinel site testing program. While there he spoke with the resident about their water, the use of filters and drank filtered water with them to help show the water is safe.

Better protecting people from lead and copper in drinking water is the goal of reforms proposed today at a meeting of the Flint Water Interagency Coordinating Committee, Gov. Rick Snyder said.
