Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Board of Real Estate Appraisers

LANSING, Mich. – (RealEstateRama) — Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Martin Wagar of Kalamazoo to the Michigan Board of Real Estate Appraisers.

Housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the nine-member board licenses and regulates the service of more than 6,000 real estate appraisers.

“I thank Martin for serving on this board and I think he will do great work for the people of Michigan,” Snyder said.

Wagar is president of Wagar & Associates, Inc., and previously served in the role of director of appraisal distribution for AmeriFirst Financial Corp. He holds designations through the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers and the National Association of REALTORS. He will represent certified residential real estate appraisers and replace Karen Myers.

Wagar will serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2020. The appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
