More than 176,100 Cases of Water Provided to Flint Residents to Date

FLINT, Mich. – January 27, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — In just over a two-week time period, 176,118 cases of water and 93,048 water filters have been provided to Flint residents, both at water resource sites and by water response teams.

Water response teams comprised of city, county and state personnel, American Red Cross and volunteers continued their door-to-door efforts, today visiting another 2,596 homes providing free bottled water, filters, water replacement cartridges and water testing kits.

Now that water response teams have completed two canvasses of the city providing water resources, the Michigan National Guard has scaled back their commitment from approximately 270 soldiers and Airmen to 70 soldiers who continue to staff water resource sites.

Since Jan. 9, 2016, the following resources have been distributed to residents, both at the water resource sites and by water response teams:

176,118 cases of water
93,048 water filters
29,320 water testing kits
Water resource sites remain open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and are located at:
