WASHINGTON, D.C. – May 16, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today granted a license to Santanna Energy Services, as an alternative electric supplier (AES).

The company, which applied for a license on Nov. 7, 2012, is a privately-held, wholly-owned corporation headquartered in Austin, Texas. It has established an office in Southfield, Mich.

The MPSC approved the license based on a determination that the company possesses the appropriate managerial and technical capabilities to serve customers in Michigan and comply with other lawful obligations.

The MPSC has opened a separate docket (Case No. U-17254) for the company to submit a renewable energy plan, as required by Public Act 295 of 2008.

The MPSC is an agency within the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.

Case No. U-17160 and U-17254
