New Michigan Product Saves in Costly Basement Repairs

Novi, MI – January 12, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Mr. Sponge Waterproofing, Inc., of Novi Michigan released their new patent pending product for consumers that saves in costly basement repairs. The new “TRX Compressed Swell Plug,” is designed for consumers or property maintenance personnel to repair leaking rod holes. Rod Holes are the most common leak in poured concrete walls with an average contractor repair cost of $125.00 for one hole.

Rod Holes are holes left from original construction where forming rods were removed during dismantling of wall forms. Basements erected with this forming system can have between 100 and 160 rod holes. Conventional sealing methods fail after a few years causing damage and costly repairs. The “TRX” is a two stage scientifically designed permanent seal that is easy to install and has been applied in multi housing facilities over the past fifteen years as an in-field service of Mr. Sponge. The “TRX” cost is $5.00 each and the company’s web site offers an informative online repair How-to video.

The original design concept of the “TRX” was to deliver a product that would cut repair cost in multi-housing properties across the nation for property managers and maintenance repair personnel. Using the “TRX” would save taxpayer dollars by cutting contractor repair costs in government-subsidized housing. Listed on the Michigan.gov site for Michigan made products, their web site for secured ordering can be found at www.trxplug.com
