Snyder makes appointments, reappointment to Board of Real Estate Brokers

LANSING, MI – September 20, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointments of Deborah Beaulieu, of West Bloomfield; Ronald Zupko, of Brighton; and the reappointment of Lola Audu, of Grand Rapids, to the Michigan Board of Real Estate Brokers.

The nine-member board, housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, oversees and regulates the licensure and practice of real estate brokers and salespersons in Michigan. The board currently oversees 42,419 real estate salespersons, 9,942 associate real estate brokers, 11,348 real estate brokers and 716 branch offices.

“These are experienced professionals and I thank them for their willingness to serve,” Snyder said.

Beaulieu is a sales account manager with Hwaseung R&A Co. Ltd., and has more than 20 years of experience as an automotive sales professional. She previously worked for Lear Corp. as a platform manager, senior account manager and sales representative. Beaulieu serves on the board of the nonprofit group Families with Children from China. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Wayne State University. Beaulieu will represent the general public and replaces Lauren Eisbrenner.

Zupko is an associate broker with Re/Max Platinum in Brighton and has nearly 20 years of real estate experience. He previously worked for Partners Real Estate Professionals and Keller Williams Realty. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years and was honorably discharged. Zupko is a former president of the Livingston County Association of Realtors. He earned an associate degree in architectural construction technology from Henry Ford Community College. Zupko will represent professionals and replaces Daniel Samson.

Audu is owner of Comstock Park-based Audu Real Estate. She has worked in the real estate industry for nearly 20 years and is active in various real estate organizations, including the National Association of Realtors, Michigan Association of Realtors and Grand Rapids Association of Realtors. She also is president of the Women’s Council of Realtors – West Michigan Chapter. Audu holds a bachelor’s degree in dietetics/food service management from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She will continue to represent professionals.

Members serve four-year terms expiring June 30, 2017, and their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the state Senate.
