Snyder makes appointments to Board of Real Estate Appraisers

LANSING, Mich. – July 18, 2014 – (RealEstateRama) — Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointments of James Hartman, of East Lansing, and Maureen Mausolf, of Bad Axe, to the Michigan Board of Real Estate Appraisers.

Housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the nine-member board licenses and regulates the service of more than 6,000 real estate appraisers.

“James and Maureen are experienced professionals and they will be strong assets to the board,” Snyder said.

Hartman is the senior managing director of Valbridge Property Advisors. He has more than 25 years of experience and is the chair of the comprehensive exam panel for the Appraisal Institute. Hartman earned a bachelor’s degree in financial administration from Michigan State University. He will represent certified general appraisers and replaces Brian Kirksey.

Mausolf is the owner of Sunrise Appraisal LLC and has more than 15 years of experience in the appraisal industry. She will represent state licensed real estate appraisers and will replace John Snyder.

Members serve four-year terms expiring June 30, 2018. Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
