Battle Creek Area Electric Interruption Scheduled Saturday Morning for System Improvements

Battle Creek, Mich. – July 1, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Electric system improvements in and near the Fort Custer Industrial Park will mean a scheduled six-hour power interruption Saturday morning to safely complete the work.

Because of the number of industrial customers involved, Consumers Energy chose the morning of July 4th do to the work and minimize customer inconvenience. A total of 1,011 customers will be affected, including more than 90 companies within the industrial park. All customers have been mailed post card notifications and Consumers Energy representatives have provided additional communication and coordination with customers within the Fort Custer Industrial Park.

The outage is scheduled to begin at 4 a.m. Saturday and is expected to be complete by 10 a.m.

The affected area straddles the Kalamazoo/Calhoun county line and is generally bordered to the north by M-89 and 48th Street North, to the southwest by Eagle Lake, to the southeast by Skyline Drive and Columbia Avenue West and to the east by West Dickman Road (I-94 Business Route) and Helmer Road North (M-37).
