Art Van Home Rewards Program Now Offers $300 in Rewards
January 22, 2012 - (RealEstateRama) -- Early last year, MAR teamed with Art Van to introduce the Home Rewards Program for Michigan REALTORS® and their clients. The new program offered $150 to home purchasers for use at Art Van, Paul’s TV and World of Floors and about 1,600 REALTORS® signed up clients in 2012.
Local Associations to be recognized for their RPAC efforts at luncheon
January 22, 2012 - (RealEstateRama) -- The Michigan Association of REALTORS® would again like to thank all of the local associations who made the final push for RPAC investors at the end of 2012. With a state RPAC goal of $425,000, REALTOR® members met and exceeded it with a final total of $519,160! In addition, 29 local associations met and/or exceeded their local RPAC goal! In the end, state RPAC contributions were at 122% of state goal!

New law assists property owners, renters
LANSING, MI - January 04, 2012 - (RealEstateRama) -- A new law recently signed by Gov. Rick Snyder protects property owners and renters. House Bill 5892, sponsored by state Rep. Wayne Schmidt, amends the Rental-Purchase Agreement Act to assist both lessors and lessees of property. Lessees who are temporarily unable to make payments and surrender the property in a timely fashion now will have 90 days, rather than one month or less, to make the payments required to reinstate a rental-purchase agreement without losing any rights or options
