DEQ announces water quality monitoring grants

March 18, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — The DEQ today announced $250,000 in grants for water quality monitoring projects under the Clean Michigan Initiative – Clean Water Fund monies.

The money is available for non-beach, water quality monitoring projects. Local government and nonprofit entities are eligible for funding and are encouraged to apply.

It contains funding priorities, detailed instructions on developing a proposal, the criteria by which proposals will be evaluated, and the items that should be included with the grant application. Applications are due by March 22, 2013.
