WASHINGTON, D.C. – May 28, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — Across Michigan, REALTORS® are actively participating in placemaking initiatives designed to improve their neighborhoods and communities and provide the groundwork for continually improving Michigan’s housing market. REALTORS® have been creating and selling place for decades; and therefore are natural leaders in placemaking. But what are the best strategies for putting placemaking to work in your community?

Recently, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), a strong REALTOR® partner and housing advocate, along with several state associations, launched the MIPlace Partnership Initiative and a companion ‘Placemaking Curriculum’ with the purposes of helping Michigan communities learn how to implement placemaking as a strategic economic development initiative in the New Economy and is offering this curriculum at five regional meetings in June. The registration fee is $25.
Learn what your community can do to help restore prosperity to Michigan and enhance the quality of life for everyone in the community. Learn how you can jump-start your community’s placemaking creativity.
