LANSING, Mich. – July 16, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Chelsea Knauf, of Grand Rapids, to the Michigan Board of Real Estate Appraisers.
Housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the nine-member board licenses and regulates the service of more than 6,000 real estate appraisers.
“I am confident Chelsea will be an effective board member and I thank her for serving,” Snyder said.
Knauf is in marketing and sales at MFP Automation Engineering. She served as the state researcher and events coordinator for the Small Business & Technology Development Center, communications director for The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation and a legislative assistant for state Rep. Margaret O’Brien. She serves on the boards of the Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness, Mental Health Foundation and Griffins Youth Foundation. Knauf earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in communications, both from Grand Valley State University. She represents the general public and replaces Patrica Kelly.
Knauf serves a four-year term expiring June 30, 2018. The appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
