Help for Homeowners

August 29, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — The Macomb Urban County Housing Rehabilitation Program, administered by the Macomb County Department of Planning & Economic Development, is accepting applications for deferred, no interest loans to help eligible owners make necessary repairs to their homes.

The Home Repair Assistance Program is designed to make a principal residence “safe, decent and habitable” as defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Eligible applicants must meet income guidelines and be current with mortgage, insurance and tax payments. The program is offered in all Macomb County communities with the exception of Clinton Township, Roseville, St. Clair Shores, Sterling Heights and Warren which have similar programs of their own.
