WASHINGTON, D.C. – February 4, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — MSU Extension is offering Make Macomb Your Home Home Ownership Series which will focus on consumer protection during the home buying process.
Attendees will learn how to:
• select and finance a home.
• hire the right real estate agent, lawyer, home inspector and lender.
• decide between government loans, savings programs and down payment assistance programs.
• understand the closing process.
Research has shown that people who attend pre-purchase housing education are more likely to make on-time payments on their mortgages and are less likely to default on their loans.
The classes will take place on Thursdays, Feb. 14, 21 and 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Warren City Hall Conference Room, 1 City Square, Warren, 48093.
