MSU Extension offers Make Macomb Your Home — Home Ownership Series
WASHINGTON, D.C. – June 28, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — MSU Extension is offering the popular Make Macomb Your Home — Home Ownership series this July.
Home Ownership will focus on consumer protection during the home buying process. Attendees will learn how to:
• effectively select and finance a home.
• hire the right real estate agent, lawyer, home inspector and lender.
• decide between government loans, savings programs and down payment assistance programs.
• understand the closing process.
Research has shown that people who attend pre-purchase housing education are more likely to make timely payments on their mortgage and are less likely to default on their loans. Attendees can invest in their home ownership success by attending this class.
The classes will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, July 10, 17 and 24, at the Verkuilen Building, 21885 Dunham Road (entrance E), Clinton Township. The class is free of cost and open to the public. For more information, or to register, please call (586) 469-7614.
