LANSING, Mich. – October 25, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of David Worthams, of Kalamazoo, to the Michigan Board of Real Estate Appraisers.
Housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the nine-member board licenses and regulates the service of more than 6,000 real estate appraisers.

“I am confident David will be an effective board member and I thank him for serving,” Snyder said.
Worthams is policy director and grassroots advocacy manager with the Michigan Bankers Association. Previously, he was a legislative associate with the Michigan Municipal League, deputy chief of staff for state Sen. Jud Gilbert and a policy adviser with the Michigan House of Representatives.
Worthams is involved with the Michigan Jaycees, the Kalamazoo Jaycees and the Kalamazoo County Metropolitan Planning Commission. He earned a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Western Michigan University and a master’s degree in legal studies from Kaplan University. Worthams will represent the general public and replaces Darius Dynkowski.
Worthams will serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2017, and his appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the state Senate.
