Senator George proposes creation of a redevelopment authority

LANSING, MI - August 20, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) -- Senator Tom George will be introducing legislation allowing for the creation of a Detroit/Wayne County Redevelopment Authority. A redevelopment authority would enable the city and county to develop a cohesive strategy for stabilizing and redeveloping tax-reverted properties, the lawmaker announced today

The Michigan Natural Shoreline Partnership recently launched a program to help lakefront homeowners understand best practices to protect their shoreland and inland lakes. The Michigan Shoreland Stewards Program will recognize inland lake property owners who are using healthy property management practices to protect their inland lake and offer tips to improve the shoreline further.
