Walk for Warmth raises funds to heat homes

WASHINGTON, D.C. – February 13, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — Macomb County Community Services Agency (MCCSA) is seeking walkers and donations for the 23rd annual Walk for Warmth, which raises money for eligible Macomb County residents facing utility shut off, as well as those in need of furnace repair or replacement.

Walk for Warmth will take place on Saturday, March 2, 2013 and is a 1.5 mile walk/fun run in Clinton Township. The new route includes paved sidewalks and a scenic walking path. The walk starts and ends at the Clinton Township Senior Adult Life Center, 40730 Romeo Plank Road, Clinton Township. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and continues until the start of the walk at 10 a.m.

Walkers raise pledges and participate individually or in teams. Teams should pre-register by calling or visiting MCCSA’s website. Businesses, service clubs, churches, and individuals can also help through an event sponsorship or donation. Donations may be mailed to MCCSA–Walk for Warmth, 21885 Dunham Road, suite 10, Clinton Township, MI 48036. Checks should be made out to MCCSA–Walk for Warmth.
