Statement by Congressman Dan Kildee on Gov. Snyder Declining to Testify on Flint Water Crisis

-

Washington, D.C. – February 9, 2016 – (RealEstateRama) — Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05) issued the following statement today after Michigan Governor Rick Snyder declined to testify in front of a congressional hearing this week on the Flint water crisis:

“Governor Snyder’s refusal to show up and testify is deeply disappointing. His administration’s policies led to this man-made crisis and he needs to answer questions so that the whole truth can be found. Flint families deserve answers and immediate solutions from the state about what is being done to make things right for the people of Flint.”

Last week, Congressman Kildee, along with Democratic Steering & Policy Committee Co-Chairs Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) and Congresswoman Donna F. Edwards (D-MD), invited Governor Snyder to testify before the House Democrats’ Democratic Steering & Policy Committee. Their invitation to the Governor can be viewed here.
