Additional distribution centers open in Flint neighborhoods to serve residents

Fire Station 6 will cease water distribution this week

FLINT, Mich. – (RealEstateRama) — With the opening of three new distribution centers in Flint neighborhoods, residents have additional access to clean water resources. The new distribution centers in Wards 1, 3, and 6 will provide bottled water, filters and water testing kits.

The hours of operations for the new centers will be:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday: Noon – 6 p.m.
Tuesday & Friday: Noon – 8 p.m.
New site locations:

Ward 1 – Genesee County Land Bank, Ross Plaza, 2320 Pierson St.
Ward 3 – Greater Holy Temple, 6702 N. Dort Highway
Ward 6 – West Court Street Church of God, 2920 W. Court Street
With the opening of these three additional sites, Fire Station 6 will cease operations as a water resource distribution center effective Wednesday, April 13, allowing it to return to normal fire department operations.

Additional distribution centers will open across the city within the next month. These new sites will be staffed by Flint residents, with hiring coordinated by GST Michigan Works! Positions are still available and more information can be found at www.gsworks.org.
