Wikol – President and CEO of ProVisions, LLC, the facility’s developer and owner – will host this ceremony at 2 p.m. on Earth Day, April 22, at 401 Ketchum Street.  Anticipated special guests and invitees include D-EQ Director Steven E. “This is the first state office building in Michigan to be LEED certified Gold and capable of producing some of its own electricity on site,” said Tim Diebolt, DEQ Office of Business Services Chief.  It was designed as an environmentally conscious commercial property with a pond stormwater retention system and a wind turbine capable of producing between 30 and 40 percent of the facility’s electricity.

The State of Michigan will be leasing the Bay City Business Center’s 24,996 square feet of office space while six additional acres remain available for sale or build-to-suit with retail, restaurant and banking opportunities for future LEED-certified sustainable users.  The facility’s proximity to I-75, I-69, I-96 and US-23 give it excellent access to the Tri-Cities, all of Michigan and the Midwest.
