Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointments to the Manufactured Housing Commission

LANSING, Mich. – (RealEstateRama) — Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointments of Margaret Burns of Detroit and Patti Schaefer of Eagle to the Manufactured Housing Commission.

The commission establishes uniform policies related to all phases of manufactured housing, business manufactured housing parks, and seasonal manufactured housing parks.

“I thank Margaret and Patti for their commitment to establishing manufactured housing policies,” Snyder said.

Burns is vice president of Germano Management Company. She holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in biology from Siena Heights University and Bowling Green State University. She will represent operators of licensed manufactured housing parks and replace Jerome Ruggirello.

Schafer is the supervisor of Eagle Township and is owner of Countryside Accounting. She is a board member of the Clinton County Planning Commission and a district 20 director for the Michigan Township Association. Schafer attended Lansing Community College. She will represent elected officials of local government and replace Peter Hennard.

Appointees will serve the remainder of a three-year term expiring May 9, 2019. Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
