MPSC Approves Settlement Agreement Reconciling Upper Peninsula Power Company’s 2014 Energy Optimization Revenues and Expenses

WASHINGTON, D.C. – July 10, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today approved a settlement agreement reconciling Upper Peninsula Power Company’s 2014 energy optimization revenues and expenses and to revise surcharges.

Effective Aug. 1, residential customers using 500 kilowatt-hours of electricity a month will see an increase of 5 cents on their monthly bills.

The utility and the MPSC staff participated in the settlement.
