MSU Extension offers Make Macomb Your Home Home Ownership Series
WASHINGTON, D.C. – March 1, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — MSU Extension is offering the Make Macomb Your Home Home Ownership Series which will focus on consumer protection during the home buying process.
Attendees will learn how to:
• select and finance a home.
• hire the right real estate agent, lawyer, home inspector and lender.
• decide between government loans, savings programs and down payment assistance programs.
• understand the closing process.
Research has shown that people who attend pre-purchase housing education are more likely to make on-time payments on their mortgages and are less likely to default on their loans.
The classes will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays, March 14, 21 and 28, at the Verkuilen Building, 21885 Dunham Road (entrance E), Clinton Township.
