Snyder appoints member to Manufactured Housing Commission

LANSING, MI – June 16, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Governor Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Creighton Weber to the Michigan Manufactured Housing Commission.

The commission is responsible for establishing uniform policy related to all phases of manufactured housing, business manufactured housing parks and seasonal manufactured housing parks.

“I am confident that Creighton Weber will help create a fair, efficient regulatory process for manufacturers in Michigan while protecting residents,” Snyder said.

Weber, of Bloomfield Hills, has 30 years of experience in the manufactured housing industry and is a director for the Wells Fargo Multifamily Capitol Group where he specializes in the finance of manufactured housing communities nationwide. Weber was selected as one of Crain’s Business Detroit “40 under 40” in 1993. He is a member of the Manufactured Housing Association and the Michigan Apartment Association. Weber earned a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan.

Weber will represent financial institutions and replaces Thomas Leduc. The appointment is a three-year term expiring May 9, 2014, and is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
