MiVHAP grants surpass $1 million for struggling military and veteran homeowners
LANSING, MI - September 13, 2013 - (RealEstateRama) -- The Michigan Veterans Homeowners Assistance Program (MiVHAP) has approved more than $1 million in grants to struggling military and veteran homeowners impacted by the foreclosure crisis, announced Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency Director Jeff Barnes. MiVHAP launched in May with a total of $5 million available for grants and will continue until those funds are depleted. To date, MiVHAP has helped 154 homeowners in 43 counties across the state

Grand Rapids Home for Veterans receives $900,000 grant for entrance upgrades
LANSING - August 15, 2013 - (RealEstateRama) -- The Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency announced today that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded the State of Michigan more than $900,000 to upgrade the main entrance at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. The Home is getting a new, much larger canopy with upgraded lighting for its main entrance, a new heated, all-weather walkway and upgrades to its interior lobby area. The upgrades will provide a safer and more inviting entrance to the Home for residents and visitors alike.
